Abergavenny and Cwmbran (J L Eve)
Contents
Overview
Three 66 kV power lines have been discovered in south Wales that use a tower type similar to J L Eve C333. Compared to C333, the top crossarms have been extended in length. The line tower top crossarms are longer than the middle crossarms by around the same amount that the middle crossarms are longer than the bottom crossarms (around 1′–4″). The angle towers appear to have had the top crossarms extended to the same width as the middle crossarms, and vertical bracing has been added to some of the crossarms.

Lines
Known lines include:
- Two short lines heading west from Llantarnam substation, Cymbran (51.629° N 3.017° W)
- A line heading west from Abergavenny substation (51.839° N 3.014° W)
Tower forms
The following diagrams are shown to scale at 12 pixels per metre, on the assumption that the tower body is identical in size to C333:
The D3, D20 and D60 diagrams are directly adapted from those of C333. The DT diagram is based on the D60 tower body with crossarms drawn according to Google Street View imagery of the terminal tower at Abergavenny substation. The same design of terminal tower can also be found at Cwmbran.
