KBK update for Saturday, 11th December
Back in September, Meryl Miller sent me a package of photographs, brochures and other material in relation to Datanetics. These included six publicity photographs of batch-fabricated array keyboards and keypads. These in themselves are not that significant as other photographs exist, but one photograph caught my attention today when I finally got chance to scan everything in (on a horrid HP OfficeJet machine): a photograph of a keyboard from a Monroe desktop calculator. Granted, it’s not proven to be Monroe, but it’s almost identical to the keyboard on a Monroe 1665 programmable desktop calculator. This is the first time that I have ever seen a Datanetics calculator keyboard, and calculators were big business for them.
All six photographs are now up on the Datanetics batch-fabricated array page.
