KBK update for Saturday, 27th April
- Sandy has permitted me to have a copy of the 1994 Alps keyboard catalogue. The Alps series names and model numbers page is now updated accordingly. In particular, “KF” is found to denote “full keyboard”, completing understanding of the series split from three-letter series names (containing both keyboards and switches) to four-letter switch and six-letter keyboard series names. Membrane switches use KF codes instead of SK codes, since they are not discrete units. While this catalogue may not be published online, the 1993 catalogue has also been found, and once this is available, everyone will be able to review this information. (Tentatively it appears that the two catalogues contain the same keyboard switches, except for one additional membrane switch type in the 1993 catalogue.)
- Fujitsu reed switches are now moved to a separate page; very little is known so far, but cross reed is now confirmed to be FES-4 series from a blurry photo of a page from a Fujitsu magazine. More details will be forthcoming.
