TL866 EPROM programmers have the surprising ability to test 7400 series TTL chips. This can be seen in an Amstrad CPC6128 keyboard repair video, where a failed 74LS145 (BCD to decimal decoder/driver) resulted in the delete key—in its own matrix row/column—was outputting multiple characters.
