Olympia Carrera

The photos below depict a broken Marquardt Series 6180 switch within an Olympia Carrera typewriter. This is the later black-top with the metal operating force transfer spring. The keycaps are laser marked. The Carrera is reported to have been made between 1985–1987; Kuritakey reports seeing this switch type in a 1988 Carrera (see Switch Archaeology: Marquardt Series 6180).

Comparing the photos below with Kuritakey’s, you can see that the top of the plunger has been torn off, and the return spring has been pulled up and entangled.
