Hirose Cherry
Three formats are known so far:
Bare serial
- “170279” found on a Logitec K-12J (Hirose part B25-59AA)
Date structured
Many Hirose Cherry keyboards feature dot matrix–printed labels with the part number and serial number together with one or two of what appear to be QA stamps. The first four digits appear to be the year and month, in either the Japanese or Gregorian calendar (or both in the same keyboard, as was the case with the Xerox 1109 type 2 keyboard.

- “46-00042-35Y” found on an Epson PX-8 keyboard PCB; this format does not contain any readily recognisable components (the year should be 1979/54 onwards, as it was released in 1980).
