Alps SCF Series

SCF Series is a hypothetical name for a series of reed switches and keyboards from Alps Electric. These are now extremely rare, with the only known instance to date being NEC DT-KCD2000C (Alps model SCFAB077), from 1975.

The keyboard design is very similar to SCB, but the reed switches are different. The reed capsules are soldered to small PCB inside the switch, an idea previously patented by NAVCOR for their KRM series reed switches (granted as US patent 3664014 in 1972). The switch terminals are secured to the PCB with a pair of hollow rivets and soldered.
