Bug of the moment 2007-06-11

A filler episode for today. I once read that, for peace and quiet, you want a phoneless cord. That cracked me up. I’ve never forgotten that one or the irony involved. It came to mind again when I realised that this could be done:

Take Windows, and make sure known file extensions are hidden. Open Notepad and save a file as “.txt”. Note how Explorer shows the file.

As an aside, if you create a file type called “HTACCESS” you can associate it with your favourite text editor and launch .htaccess files by double-clicking them. Perverted but useful.
