Changes in 2.2.1:
- Portable mode available
Changes in 2.2:
- Updated code library; chiefly this resolves some glitches with text fields
- Update check button in the About dialog
Changes in 2.2b2:
- Colour cells draw in correctly in Windows classic theme (and “correctly”, even if not natively, in Windows themes).
- Corrected encoding error in the About window.
Changes in 2.2b1:
- Copy and paste of colours now supports additional formats (hex without a leading hash, CSS RGB, and plain RGB tuple; in the last case, copy uses space as a delimiter, while paste accepts whitespace, commas, or commas followed by whitespace for delimiters).
- Favourite colour sets can now be renamed.
- Two-colour blend result colour can now be clicked to copy the result to the main colour area.
- The program is now fully Unicode-aware.
- Within the favourite colour set creation dialog box, the copy-colours-from dropdown list defaults to the active set.
- Paste item appears, disabled, in colour context menus as a hint that paste is permissible when applicable.
- Preferences now saved into XML format file instead of old proprietary binary format.
- “Web-safe” removed from name of colour palette as, while the colours are the same, the terminology is rather outdated.
- Colour controls have pseudo-native borders in Windows 8, though at the moment, some controls are still completely non-native.
- [Fix] No longer requires administrator rights to run.
- [Fix] When checking the clipboard contents for valid colour data, whitespace is trimmed first.
- [Fix] Clipboard access should now behave itself properly.
Changes in 2.1.4:
- The About box is significantly overhauled in OS X, and fixed in Windows.
- [X] The superfluous Help menus are removed.
Changes in 2.1.3:
- Dialog boxes have been improved in for all platforms.
- [X] The font size selector pop-up displays its value again.
Changes in 2.1.2:
- [Win32] Preferences now stored in %APPDATA%\Telcontar and will be moved there on first run
- [Win32] The window position is no longer lost if you close the app while it’s minimised
- [Win32] Various interface tweaks
- [Mac] Contextual menu in the add favourite dialog text box (it won’t work in Windows for no reason)
- [Mac] Better textbox keyboard navigation
Changes in 2.1.1:
- [Win32] The selector window now has its much-needed minimise button!
- [Win32] The fonts drop-down menu is now sorted into alphabetical order
- [Win32] I have added a few workarounds to the abominable window positioning in the Windows version; I have no idea why it is so bad (it is not my fault, the Macintosh version is fine) but it is somewhat improved now
- The active favourite set is memorised for when Colour Selector is next loaded.
Changes in 2.1 (not including 2.1 betas):
- The set creation and delete confirmation dialogs now appear in a more sensible place
