Decommissioned post boxes

Many post boxes are left in place after decommissioning, with the aperture blocked to prevent items being posted into them. Notionally, decommissioned post boxes are painted black, but this is not always the case.

The date of decommissioning is not known. There is an old-school type B EIIR pillar box just around the corner, which must have been there for decades.
