George VI post boxes

Contents

Overview

This page depicts examples of George VI post boxes in the UK. George VI reigned from 11th December 1936 to 6th February 1952. The photos were taken during my various walks, from the Home Counties and London.

Examples

Mill Hill

The post boxes in Mill Hill are in a poor state. This miserable example, manufactured by Carron Company in Stirlingshire, urgently needs all the paint stripping off and starting anew. Photos taken on Coronavirus walk 188, 23/12/2023.
