Derby Castings

Successor to Andrew Handyside and Company. According to the Colne Valley Postal History Museum’s George V pages, “[Andrew] Handyside became Derby Castings for just one year before going into liquidation and eventually becoming part of the Allied Ironfounders group.” [sic] Per the second George V page, “Derby Castings only made boxes for one year - 1932.” The example below then would appear to be comparatively rare, and from 1932.

Allied Ironfounders is covered on a separate page.
