Code, graphics, content
This is the first time that I have not used pencil and paper to design the site. The site was hand-coded in HTML and PHP by me in Bare Bones BBEdit and Windows Notepad, with help from the HTML Tag List by Rob Schlüter (mirrored here) and CSS guidance from the Web Design Group Guide to Cascading Style Sheets, Sander Tekelenburg and Arne Johannessen. Likewise, all graphics on the site are my own also, with the exception of the little flags against localisted Mac software downloads which are scaled down copies of flags found at flagspot.net. The site is starting to make excessively ludicrous use of the <abbr> tag.
All original content is copyright by me. Content not created by me is the copyright of the creator as credited.
General credits
FireSnake for letting me order the hosting on her computer via VNC (I needed a connection free of Web proxies at that time); her site – along with Adam “Air” Brandon’s – was the trigger for the creation of telcontar.net and the basis for my choice of hosting company of ICDSoft. I also have to thank Jennifer Elaan (Chani) for putting up with me while I was working on this site :)
Special thanks go to Matthew Brackley for Brunnhild and PhAtfiSh for Deathwish, although really there are too many people to mention.
Previous credits for the older site – whose contents have been transferred to here – go to David Catmull, Justeena, Meighan Makarchuk, Adam “Air” Brandon, mosterdsaus, Sarah Martinez (version_lili), PhAtfiSh, Svein-Magnus Sørenson (Telcontar), and Steve “Living Steve” Gale.
Programming credits
Pierre Cardinal (co-developer of Internet Startup), Hubert Garrido (MacASP developer), Jarvis Badgley, Kevin Ballard, Thomas Tempelmann (for MacAliasRecord), Nick Shanks, Tom Anthony, David Grogono of REAL Software, Belle Nuit Montage for their demo applications, and Tom Pilkington.
Finally…
The authors of all the great software I use, such as Photoshop, BBEdit and SoundApp (Winamp nowadays I’m afraid ;) I must also thank the guys at TranceAddict for their efforts, twoTribE and the people behind and who use the SoulSeek peer-to-peer music sharing system for some of the great music I get to enjoy while working on this site. Anyone who has not had a mention but nevertheless deserves one. If you think your name should be up here, give me a shout.
